House Ways and Means Chairman Proposes a Tax Plan
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., proposed a plan that would cut the top U.S. tax rate from 35% to 25% for individuals and corporations and reduce or eliminate many deductions. Camp wants a tax overhaul that would keep overall tax revenues at recent average levels of about 18% to 19% of gross domestic product. The Wall Street Journal (3/17)
